In the Third Age, Lanfear operates from the shadows, most notably adopting the persona of Selene to manipulate Rand al'Thor. She competes fiercely with Moiraine Damodred for influence over the Dragon Reborn, leveraging her mastery of Tel'aran'rhiod and knowledge of ter'angreal to outmaneuver the Aes Sedai.
